Minor Battery Snag

When taking the Slash out for a run, since the ESC wire got repaired, I saw a problem that I need to resolve this week, if possible. I charged it Saturday to take it out yesterday, (Sunday), but while running, it acted like the battery was barely charged, though I know differently. After the run, I came in, & looked the pack over, I saw the black wire is about to break it’s connection.

The battery is almost a year old, & has seen its share of action, serving me well, so this question’s been on my mind tonight. Should I have the hobby shop repair the battery or buy a new pack altogether? My plan was to have two packs, doubling the fun time! Will call them and see what they say, then head up there Thursday!!!

More Ideas For Stampede

Even though the truck hasn’t been bought yet, more ideas are getting me deeper into what type of basher the Stampede I want it to be! The other day, at the hobby shop, I discussed how and what I’d like done to make this next R/C a aggressive machine, & judging from how they work with me, I’m sure the mods can be done with ease.

First on my to do list of upgrades is a set of Pro-Line Trencher tires! These will give my “Pede” a much better stance & make it able to get over anything, (& they look bad as hell!) Next upgrade, though this won’t be asap, is to get everything aluminum, because if this truck’s gonna be run hard, I’d want it to be less likely to break! For a body, I’m thinking a 1920s-1950s style ford body, since old truck designs have always fascinated me. 🙂

Like the Slash, the Stampede WILL need two body clip holders, that’s a must. I’d like to have mudflaps added, but what do you all think?

My Slash Is Repaired

Let me start off by saying that my timing blows when it comes to going places, and here is why I say this! Yesterday, while getting in the Your Ride van to go to the hobby shop, I got caught in a bad storm, which soaked me to the bone. The R/C controller shorted out, (working now, but I’m letting it dry for a few more days, to be sure.)

Upon getting there & going in, the people who remembered me, greeted me warmly, with a: “Where the heck have you been?!” After a few rips, jokes etc. I told them what needed to be done, which he did in no time flat, but on my request, more was added. Some body clips, with two clip holders were mounted to the body, (if a clip comes out, it won’t get lost in the grass!) He made it so the battery pack wire won’t rub on the tire, so that’s good! 🙂 Total cost of parts: Just $10.00, which isn’t bad at all!

All and all, I enjoyed being there again & my plan is to get another battery pack from them in a couple weeks. Now I’m just waiting for the weather to turn, so I can get back out and run the Slash. 🙂 Can’t wait to get the Stampede and have them do the upgrades….

Returned To Soul Cal. 5

About two weeks ago, I sold off half my PS3 collection, because I want to get out of console gaming. While that is still my plan, two games were kept, Skyrim & SC5! Two Saturdays ago, (think it was), SC5 was put in and played. Of course no surprise came when my rustiness showed, but I kept playing.

Well, with in a few days, the rust was shaken off, letting my skills become sharp again. However, with that said, I’ll admit something here: 1. I’m not the best player in SC5, BUT I’m not the worst. 2.Due to my disability, pressing buttons fast, isn’t something I can do simply, so I make due. I’d like to get a a controller with the rapid fire function, like the one I had.

While playing the game these last couple weeks, a couple things about playing online hit me, like a brick. As before, some players pitched a fit, if they don’t win against me, telling me “I’m good, but I whatever to much.” And there are players who, for whatever reason, think when beaten, they need to ask for several rematches so they can spam me! My answer to them is: “It’s just a game, quit whining and play!” & “If I beat you once, I don’t grant rematches.” Bad of me?

I do play against friend on SC5 and we joke around and don’t take the game to serious, like those players above! Some good friends were met on that game and know about my gaming with a disability.

Below are two videos of matches I had while playing. One is my Demon Hunter in a ranked match, and the other is one of my book characters, Asuka D’cara, fighting a player.
