Sorry it took awhile to post this update, but between the heat and waiting for a reply from the AFF webmaster and a annoying site, it has been a trip! Aki Yoshira’s The Vampire & The Slayer is now up on AFF for all to read! I realize some of you who follow me liked the posts I wrote about it & may wish to read it, but due to the erotic nature of the AFF site and the story, I’m not posting a link here.
Here’s what I will do. If anyone who follows me here feels inclined to drip into my madness, feel free to email me directly at darklight996atgmail.com or skype darklight2736 & I’ll link ya.
I still live, which is good! A lot of factors kept me from WP & blogging and I’ll share the main reason here. Though I’ve told some of you this before, but I have a moderate case of Cerebral Palsy, leaving me one handed, a slur in my speech. However with that, I have a higher body temperature than most people. Can’t remember if its 5 or 10 degrees higher, but if it’s 85 out, I feel hotter.
Last week when it was in the 80-90s, you can guess how I felt. I’d get up and the heat would mess with me, making me have a temper and zap my energy.
Though not my thing, a you tube video I views a couple days ago sparked this topic. In it, the person was explaining why a brushless system wouldn’t be a good upgrade for a Traxxas Stampede, due to it pulling wheelies etc. While I’m not gonna sit here and say he’s wrong, I will give my opinion if people are thinking about turning their Pede into a brushless beast & give advice on what to upgrade before going that route! 🙂
As a Stampede owner myself, let me say that the truck pulls wheelies on demand, even at half throttle. While cool, in time, not being able to steer can suck big! So, the first thing I upgraded & recommend is buying a wheelie bar for the r/c. As you see in the picture above, the bar is set at the lowest point, that can greatly limit how high the truck can go.Me? I stay on the first or second bar, just to keep steering control.
Now it is important for first time Stampede owners to evaluate where the weaknesses of the truck are, because if you put brushless power into it, you’re bound to break parts. I’m not sure if I had the hobby shop put one in or not, but a industrial strength spur gear might be a wise upgrade to invest in. With the added speed, if you hit anything, the stock parts will shatter, so below is what I upgraded for not much money.
Last summer, an RPM bumper was put on, with front RPM A-Arms, (in picture), & those gave strength to much of the front end. Over Winter, my hobby shop friend put the rear A-Arms on when the brushless system went, and not one part failed yet. You can deck your rig however you like, but in itself, the Stampede is not that bad, if you are willing to spend a little on it.
Like the title of this post states, Aki Yoshira’s “The Vampire & The Slayer” is DONE and edited/proofed! Yep, you heard right, last week, I finished and proofread it, correcting what I could see. And though the story was intended to be a “One Shot” deal, it was left open to do a sequel.
Words cannot say how good I felt when her story was done! To me, it felt like coming full circle, from designing Aki in Soul Cal. 5 to actually doing a story with her as the main character was enjoyable! I’m hoping to post it to a site soon, (awaiting a reply from a webmaster), but when I do post it, the url will be here!
With it being Summer, I set aside time to go outside and run my r/c, but I think most people who follow this blog know this fact. Anyway, let us start this party. Between going out to rip the yard up, sometime was spent writing and hence brings me to this update!
Between going out last weekend a lot of progress was made with both Deadra’s piece Darkest Pleasures and Aki’s story The Vampire & The Slayer, both will be covered in this post. I’m happy to report that Deadra’s story’s in the homestretch of being done finally, just one or two pages to write, than proofing/editing can start, which will suck, but a plan is in my head of how to attack it! 🙂 Once that is done & the story is split into chapters and the errors corrected, my plan is to upload the story to a site for all to read! 🙂
Now to Aki Yoshira’s work. Like Deadra’s story, The Vampire & The Slayer received a major boost over the weekend, especially last night. I’m happy to tell you that after one or two scenes, proofing/editing can begin on it, but may not be as bad as Darkest Pleasures, due to my brother Adrian helping me with proofing. Will I be reusing her in another story? At this point, I’d say possible, but not for awhile, I have the novel to get back to, a fan work to complete and a few other girls in my pool with stories to complete.
Aki’s will be posted to the same site as Deadra’s so stay tuned.
After posting this, it’ll probably freeze on reboot, but tis life. 🙂 A while back, a post went up, talking about how I might need to rebuild my gaming rig due to a bad mother board. I went through pricing everything out, (three times), finally deciding on what to get and where to order them from, but seems the computer has not froze in awhile, so I’m scratching my head.
The a rebuild isn’t ruled out, here’s what I may do. Buy a new power supply, Windows 10, just the upgraded 8350 cpu, (my board can accept it), a 2TB external drive for my games and 980 geforce graphics card. I’ll reinstall windows and see how it goes.
Months and month ago, Darkest Pleasures, Deadra’s story was started, (Picture above). I started it well, laying down a very well done plot, a cat woman who has an issue, but I think readers will connect with her. However, like an idiot, I let myself start 60 other works, abandoning hers, which I regret. Sure, some days were spent poking it, but then leaving again. This went on until last night.
Yes, like Aki Yoshira’s story, Deadra’s got loved from the time I got online-until bed. And like Aki’s, it immersed me into it, allowing me to feel my emotions, which gave her lover an sadistic side, but one with good intent. With that said, all good things must end & last night, I told my adopted brother that today, my plan is to wrap up Deadra’s story. After fourteen, fifteen pages, I feel it might be time. 🙂 When complete, the story will be chopped into chapters, proofed as best I can and posted to a site.
Worry not friends, a link to it will be posted for those who wish to read!:)
