Personal Blog For September 2017: I Have No Excuses….

This is a late post & I’m sorry for that. There are no excuses I can give other than being tired, caught up in trying to get thru red tape to get a wheelchair and wanting to keep to myself to write, all topics for this post. Before I start however, if any of my family reads this, this blog’s like my venting outlet & subjects are just me blowing off steam. Stop reading if you don’t like is on the menu.

Let me start this off positively. For awhile now, whenever I write, it has transformed into much more than I’ve ever thought possible. The novel alone, I’ve described a well thought out fight scene, detailing it well, but beyond that, my erotic stories have seen the same level of detail. It feels great & I’ll show off some work soon! 🙂

Alright, here’s where I get a bit snarky and probably be viewed as a jack hole, but eh. Though Tekken is still played by me on Steam, things have changed. I’ve been kicked from the group I was an officer of and wasn’t given a reason, (but I guess pointing out cheaters who macro the game reason to be kicked then)… All I gotta say is I hope the owner has fun with them.

Furthermore, quick matches aren’t played anymore due to the way the game is with patches. Before it let you see what fighter the other player uses and their wins. Now, I could be matched against some expert with 700 wins, but I wouldn’t know until it was too late. So you can call me chicken, but I like what sanity I have left. Out of the “friends” I’ve made on Steam, only two invite me to play them, sad but true.

Last topic, the wheelchair issue. Called for my insurance card and it is on the way, or so they said! Meanwhile, this pile of dog poop has gotten worse and I have no backup chair due to family destroying it, which for this family, is expected!

I’ll try blogging like I did before, sorry for the long time away.

The Reason I’ve Been “In a padded room” Of Anger….

Okay, so I decided to come out and say what’s been upsetting me. Most here have known that I’ve been up for a new wheelchair for so long & I’m fighting tooth and damn nail to get one, but for those new here, I’ll give a Crash Course in wheelchair lifespans. A electric chair has a cycle of five years, at three years, it needs repairs, going downhill from there. Insurance will cover the cost for a newer model, like a car, BUT a doctor needs to write a script.

Before I continue, let me state that if any family members see this post on Facebook and get offended, I really don’t care, this blog is my way of venting. I have Medicare, which will cover the new chair but my card is missing, so my power of att. is suppose to deal with people who don’t wanna deal with me right? Wrong! She either forgets to call to get stuff done or sticks it in my nephew (her son) to do. Well, last week, after talking to my chair repair guy, who’s a family friend, she did the pass the buck shyt.

We call, I got on the phone and told the person my soc and she was like, “I can’t understand what you say!”, talking to me like I’m three years old. I spoke clear as day so wtf bitch?! She wouldn’t even talk to my nephew.

Back to Mike, my repair guy. Before the above call from hell, he was pissed at how my family’s treating this and I told him everything. “Hard to believe you bend over backwards fer them, paying most everything here and you can’t get help. WTF would happen if your chair dumps and their gone or whatever?” (his words). He is right and has a right to be mad! This chair was new in 2009, it is now 2017!

Until a new chair gets ordered and gets here, I need to save at least $200.00 monthly to keep this thing going.

What are your feelings on this?

Thinking About This…

It has been brought up before that I’m in series need of a new wheelchair, but thanks to the state I live in kicking me off aid, I  cannot get back on insurance. Love how state aid wants people to be almost poor until they help, but try to save and your cut off! I’ve asked my sister to help & though she’s “looking into it”, she’s…

Last week something came to me that I could use as a last resort. I could open a “Go Fund Me” fundraiser to try getting the chair that way. True, research needs to be done before commiting to this, but its an option.

Any thoughts?

A Lot On My Mind, Episode 2: Ideas For Old Wheelchairs

Like anything, power wheelchairs have a “lifespan” of five years, before my insurance will pay for a new one. In the past, when I’d get a newer model, the old chair would be kept as a backup in case the new one broke down.

Though the same routine has been kept going, over the past ten years, the person who works on my chairs has been there with any replacement part, whether footrest bolts, or controller, my chairs seem never to go down for more then two days, (not even that). This has me thinking, do I really need him to keep my backup wheelchairs, if he fixes my main chairs so quickly?

This gave me an idea. I’m going to ask him if there is a market to sell used power chairs, and if so, would it be wiser to sell my old chairs every five years. If I can sell em, it’ll put extra income in my pocket, money I can use for anything.

A Wheelchair Recall???

In recent years, I’ve heard and read about cars, food, drugs etc. being recalled, because of something wrong with them, however this is the first I have heard about a wheelchair recall. Last Wednesday, when my chair repair person came by to fix my foot rest, he told me Invacare, (or Invacrap, is what I call the company that made my chair), issued a recall because a defective controller.

Hearing about them doing so came as no shock, because in my eyes, Invacare’s known for building junk. Believe me, my first electric wheelchair was made by them & it had nothing but breakdowns. So, why are the recalling the controllers? Apparently, when the user turns the chair on, it takes off fast, even set on slow speeds. Now, even though I haven’t noticed this, I do note issues, and since my chair’s controller might be the ones under the recall, might as well get a new part.
